Help finding stable housing, and the partnerships that put investment back into the neighborhoods our families live in.

What happens when you come to us

Most people arrive with a letter they cannot read, a deadline they did not know about, or a landlord problem. The path is the same in each case.

    You call or come in

    In Hmong or English. Bring whatever paperwork you have, even if it is incomplete.

    We work out what you are facing

    A staff member reads the paperwork with you and explains what it means and what the deadlines are.

  3. 3

    We point you at the right program

    City, county or state housing programs, or a partner organization that handles that case type.

  4. 4

    We follow up

    The office checks back so an application does not stall for want of one document.

We work with partners

The Hmong Inc. is not a housing authority. What it does is sit between a family and the agencies that hold the programs, in a language the family speaks, and make sure the paperwork actually gets filed.

Do I have to be Hmong?

No. The programs serve Southeast Asian and other families across Fresno County.

Does it cost anything?

No. Guidance and referrals are free.

Can you speak Hmong?

Yes. Ask for someone who speaks Hmong when you call. Other languages to be confirmed.

Can you make the decision on my application?

No. The city, county or state agency decides. We help you understand the paperwork, file it correctly, and follow up.

What should I bring?

Whatever you have: the letter or notice, your lease, and any application you have started. Nothing needs to be complete.
